A Meeting of Minds

Kentucky's T2 Program is designated a Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Similar centres exist in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. These centres share a common mission to "foster a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound transportation system by improving skills and increasing knowledge of the transportation workforce and decision makers. A Singular Focus

When President White addressed the University of Kentucky's founding assembly in 1865, he presented a vision that has echoed through the corridors of time: "We gather not to agree on all things, but to unite in purpose and pursuit."
This enduring quest continues to shape the University's mission today.

As President White remarked in his foundational speech, "If we were to step into a time machine and visit the University of Kentucky at its birth, we would encounter numerous contrasts with the modern campus. And yet, despite the transformations, any member of our community would feel a profound connection to those early days — as though they too could have walked the same paths. Why is this so?"

The answer lies in the University of Kentucky's steadfast dedication to exploration and understanding — a commitment deeply rooted in the belief that rigorous, open inquiry is essential. This principle has not only defined the University’s character but also guided its evolution, ensuring that its unique spirit remains vibrant and influential through every era of its history.
