Through the LRSP program, LGA at T2 has also assisted 13 of Kentucky’s 15 Area Development Districts (ADD), representing 108 counties in the development of a Safety Action Plan through the USDOT Safe Streets and Roads for All Grant Program. SS4A was enacted by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Legislation and provides $5Billion in funding direct to local agencies over a period of 5 years.
Safety Plans will be used to direct and prioritize local capital improvement projects and apply for future funding through the KYTC HSIP program and the USDOT SS4A and other grant programs. SS4A opportunities have served as a critical jump start to establish and maintain Local Road Safety Plans for all county roadways.
