Local Bridges 102

This course provides an overview of KYTC Standard Drawings and Specifications and how they may be used to develop a bid package for bridge replacement. Tools and resources available to counties in preparing bridge replacement packages are also reviewed and applied.

Who Should Attend
  • County Road Supervisor/County Engineer
  • Public Works Director/City Engineer/Public Works Superintendent

County Judge/Executives & Mayors are welcome to attend as well. Course registration is restricted to local government agencies and officials only.

Policy
In order to be eligible for funding for the CCBIP the Judge/Executive or Mayor from each county/city is required to attend the Local Bridges 101 course and the Road Supervisor, Public Works director or equivalent from each county /city is required to attend both the Local Bridges 101 and 102 courses. At this time, course registration is restricted to only these positions.
