About the Technology Transfer Program

Kentucky's Technology Transfer (T2) Program promotes efficiency in Kentucky's transportation system by providing workshops and training events, newsletters, how-to manuals, new and existing technology updates, legislative and regulatory news, and on-site technical assistance.

Kentucky's T2 Program is designated a Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Similar centers exist in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. These centers share a common mission to "foster a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound transportation system by improving skills and increasing knowledge of the transportation workforce and decision makers."

T2 continues to grow relationships and partnerships with state, national, and federal agencies. This network offers sharing of research and technology which minimizes redundancy and duplication.
