Web-Based Training
Several transportation organizations have recently begun to offer their web-based training courses free of charge. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has made its National Highway Institute (NHI) online courses free through Dec. 31, 2020, and it also partnered with the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) to offer free courses to public employees in smaller jurisdictions and also with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) to provide free courses through Technical Training Solutions (TTS).
LTAP staff are happy to provide additional information on the offerings, or hear from users on what courses they’re interested in taking. Contact Brittany Cloyd at brittany.cloyd@uky.edu with questions or to offer any feedback.
Details about the offerings and how to access them are below.
